Rainy Davis is the founder and president of Rainysongs Entertainment and a Grammy-nominated songwriter. She is also an accomplished music publisher, producer and recording artist. Rainy’s Digital Music Label’s mission is to empower the indie artists and implement a new standard in recording deals benefiting every artist and label joining the roster. Rainy’s main goal for starting this company was to respectfully allow artists to express their creativity and provide them the opportunity to release their product globally on world wide web. Rainy wants to empower indie artists to do exactly that, express their creativity and get their music to the masses. Rainysongs Entertainment is one of the first digital music labels owned by an African American Woman.

Who remembers Rainy Davis’ late 80’s hit "Sweetheart"? Well fortunately for Rainy, Mariah Carey and Jermaine Dupri did. Rainy’s song Sweetheart was the debut single for their duet on JDs’ Life In1472 album in the summer of 1998. The album went on to earn Rainy a Grammy nomination and appears on the 1999 Grammy Rap Nominees Album. Imagine superstars Mariah Carey and Jermaine Dupri choosing "Sweetheart". In an interview with Vibe Magazine Mariah Carey said of the inspiration for recording Sweetheart, "I was thinking of the old songs I used to listen to when I was in school. It's a really cute record. Young girls’ll like it the way I liked it when I was growing up. “A few months later Mariah releases "Sweetheart" as the first single from her new album release entitled #1’s. Sweetheart also appears on Mariah Carey’s Greatest Hits and The Remixes Album, Rainy wrote "Sweetheart" with producer Pete Warner and everytime that song hits the airways, it magic.

As the President of Rainysongs Entertainment, Rainy continues to develop and grow her label's  expanding roster of international talent.
